Please join us to celebrate the publication of Sunderland ’73: The People’s Visual History, a book made by Julian Germain with the wonderful people who contributed personal stories and memorabilia relating to Sunderland AFC’s historic FA Cup run, win and euphoria afterwards!

This event will also celebrate this wider 12 month cultural heritage project, which has included a pop-up roving exhibition, creative intergenerational workshops celebrating the crafting of the time, short films and, soon-to-be released digital storytelling pieces featuring oral contributions from fans alongside photographs and new portraiture.

Sunderland ’73: The People’s Visual History project was commissioned by NEPN at University of Sunderland in partnership with A Love Supreme, Foundation of Light, The Cultural Spring, Back on the Map, Stitch and Bitch Sunderland.
Supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.

At least 250 copies of the book will be freely gifted to schools, libraries, care homes and community centres.
